
Our competition winning bid to regenerate this suburban estate blighted by a poorly-planned traffic gyratory re-orients the neighbourhood to bring the natural assets of the adjacent reservoir and SSSI closer to residents.
The masterplan replaces existing housing with a mixed tenure development set around a new ‘community heart’.
A new public square with shopping and community facilities, comprehensive new neighbourhood services, and a range of socio-economic measures, will all combine to form the backdrop for a new, vibrant mixed community.
On the strength of these proposals, residents voted overwhelmingly to transfer from the council to a new landlord, Metropolitan West Hendon.
The scheme was granted outline planning permission in March 2008.
