Ben Derbyshire talks to BBC News on the rise of complaints regarding New-Build homes. Ben says he isn't surprised with the new level of complaints with new build homes and says there is systemic issues with new builds. These issues have arisen because of the lack of skilled resources, a problem which is going to get worse due to Brexit.
Ben touches on another issue where there is an exploitation of the value of land which continues to leave homebuilders with very little value left to plough into the quality of the product.
Ben also mentions new methods of manufacture including making homes in factories rather than on site “where unskilled labour struggle with increasing technical complexity of building new homes to high standards”.
