HTA Rouleurs Take On Prudential RideLondon Picture 1

HTA has recently formed a British Cycling registered cycling club, HTA Rouleurs, to promote and support cycling and our views on sustainability.

HTA Rouleurs first event will join the 25,00 cyclists riding the Surrey 100 2017 on 30th July for Great Ormand Street Hospital and aim to raise over £15k.

HTA will organise training rides and advice, provide assistance with fundraising, advice on equipment and other support in the run up to the event. Joining HTA Rouleurs Cycle Club is one of the many benefits HTA offer staff.

The team have been training hard, doing laps of Regents Park every Wednesday in London or Arthurs Seat in Edinburgh accompanied by long rides at the weekend.

Surrey 100 Riders are expected, by GOSH, to raise an minimum of £600 individually through sponsorship,  HTA will match your sponsorship pound for pound*.

The Surrey 100 course starts between 06:00 and 09.00 in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.

Prudential RideLondon is the world’s greatest festival of cycling, with more than 100,000 cyclists expected to participate during the weekend of 28-30 July 2017. This will be the fifth edition of the festival. It combines a free family ride in central London with the excitement of watching the world’s best professional cyclists race. The best action is broadcast live on TV both on BBC TV in the UK and internationally.

As well as an opportunity to take on a personal challenge in completing the ride, participants' involvement will benefit good causes with thousands riding for charity. A record-breaking £12 million+ was raised for charity in 2015 bringing the total raised by riders since 2013 to more than £41 million.

There are more charity events in the pipeline to help aid the fundraising. Looking for as much corporate sponsorship as possible! The team is a mix of newbies and experienced cyclists but it’ll be a tough day out regardless.
