The proposals for the redevelopment of the Olympic Office Centre site in Wembley Brent received planning consent earlier this month, marking a milestone in this landmark project on behalf of Network Homes.
Under plans approved by Brent Council, the existing eight storey office block will be replaced with a mixed-use residential-led scheme, providing 253 new homes of which 35% will be Affordable, alongside 1000sqm of flexible commercial floor space and basement car parking.
The proposal will complete the redevelopment of the eastern section of Olympic Way providing new commercial frontage to the processional route, as well as the surrounding streets enlivening Fulton Road and Rutherford Way.
New high quality landscaping will stitch the scheme into the wider Quintain masterplan proposals for Wembley Park, including a new pedestrian route to the south of the site.
The 253 homes will be spread across the part 21/part 15 storey building, providing a range of tenure blind accommodation including one and two bed apartments, as well as larger family sized homes, all featuring private balconies or terraces.
Shared amenity space has been maximised and will cater for a range of users and activities including dedicated play space for children. The range of spaces proposed includes landscaped gardens located at ground and first floors, and roof top terraces with spectacular views over Wembley and beyond.
