Fronting Burnt Oak Broadway HTA’s proposals for 30 affordable apartments has recently been granted planning consent by Barnet Council’s Planning Committee. The redevelopment of this vacant site is part of an ongoing affordable housing sites programme for Barnet Homes.
Designed as a ‘reinvention of the mansion block’ the scheme consists of 1, and 2 bedroom apartments, including four apartments for wheelchair users. All homes are dual aspect and have access to generous private and communal amenity. The four storey building benefits from a communal heating plant and also encloses a residents’ shared garden to the rear.
This planning consent represents a collaboration of HTA’s architecture, landscape, planning and daylight / sunlight assessment services. Construction is due to commence in Spring 2018.
