HTA has submitted an outline planning application to Merton Council on behalf of Clarion Housing Group for the regeneration of Ravensbury Estate in Morden, as part of the Merton Regeneration Programme of which this is one of three estates. The masterplan for up to 180 new homes at Ravensbury has been developed through close consultation with residents and local stakeholders to create a place that responds to its context and meets local needs.
HTA have developed a masterplan which gives the opportunity for a wider diversity of homes and tenures in a range of riverside houses and flats, mews with on-plot parking, apartments fronting the main street and apartments and town houses overlooking Morden Hall Park. The overall masterplan also retains 91 existing homes.
The Ravensbury masterplan includes:
- Up to 180 new homes within 3 Phases
- Homes designed specifically for older residents
- New enlarged community facility for residents
- Enhanced green spaces including a swale
- Improved connections to the River Wandle and parks
HTA architecture, landscape and sustainability have worked together with our sub-consultants to develop Phase 1, which now has detailed planning consent, and the phased masterplan, which responds to significant flood risks as well as residents’ concerns and comments. The masterplan is designed to BREEAM Communities standards.
