Riette & Caroline take on pedELLE Picture 1

Raising a Fantastic £4309.25 for Coram

Riette Oosthuizen & Caroline Dove joined pedELLE last week, cycling nearly 500KM from Copenhagen to Berlin in and raised a fantastic £4309.25 for Coram*.

Riette first completed the ride last year and enjoyed it that much that she convinced Caroline to join her this time.

Here’s what Caroline had to say:

“What an exceptional event, organised and supported by exceptional people. I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to ride with some inspirational women while raising funds for a very special charity, Coram.

While I have cycled all my life, it was only after my 60th birthday that I cycled more than 100 miles in one day, having bought my first road bike. Encouraged by this, my colleague Riette Oosthuizen and other keen cyclists at HTA, I decided to have my first attempt at PedElle. It sounded promising, starting in Copenhagen (which I’ve always wanted to visit) and a rolling ride down to Berlin.

I’m still on a high after such a great journey, missing the camaraderie of the road, and very pleased that our success will make a big difference to children through Coram.”
