Andrew joined HTA in 2009, and has extensive knowledge and wide ranging experience in residential and mixed-use projects at various stages and complexities from initial concept designs through to technical and construction stages. Project types include masterplanning and estate regeneration, new build, refurbishment and build-to-rent, working with RSLs, developers and local authorities.

Most recently, working for client Essential Living, Andrew successfully led the delivery of a detailed planning application for the redevelopment of an existing highly constrained supermarket site located on Brentford High Street. The proposal provides 225 build to rent homes and associated amenity spaces across two mid-rise blocks, as well as new commercial floor space at ground floor focused around a public square. The scheme will help to repair the high street frontage and reinstate a historic route through the site opening up and framing the view of St Paul’s Church.

Prior to joining HTA, Andrew worked at Populous (formerly HOK Sport) where he was part of the team delivering working drawings for the refurbishment of All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon London, and Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell Scotland.

Rochester Riverside (1350 homes) – Working for clients Countryside Properties and Hyde Housing Association, Andrew was a key member of the team taking a leading role in delivering the competition winning masterplan for Rochester Riverside in Medway, Kent. 

Sheerwater, Woking (922 homes) – Outline Masterplan and Detailed Phase 1 planning application for a large site in Woking, Surrey, working for client New Vision Homes, which will provide approximately 922 new homes and a range of new community facilities including a new leisure centre.

Enfield Small Housing Sites (94 homes) – Andrew was Project Architect for three of seven highly constrained and challenging brown field sites, including one site within a Conservation Area. The linked planning application for all seven sites was approved, paving the way for the first Council homes in Enfield in 30 years.

Clapham Park Estate Masterplan Refurbishment Sections C & E (363 homes) – Andrew was project architect for this refurbishment phase within the wider Clapham Park Estate Masterplan consisting of 10 existing flat blocks that are being brought up to Decent Homes Standards. Proposed works included thermal improvements to the fabric of the buildings, new lift towers to improve accessibility and new and enhanced landscaping.

Dee Park, Reading (760 homes) – Dee Park Estate was formerly a large radburn layout estate built during the 1960s in Reading. HTA produced the outline masterplan and delivered subsequent detailed planning applications. Andrew was a key member of the team producing working drawings packages for Phases 1B and 2A, and led the preliminary feasibility stages for Phase 3.

Olympic Office Centre Site, Wembley Park (253 homes) – Andrew is currently project architect for the redevelopment of an existing office site located in Wembley Park for client Network Homes. The proposed scheme will provide 253 new homes in buildings ranging in height from 13-21 storeys, as well as new commercial floor space at ground floor fronting Olympic Way. A detailed planning application is due to be submitted in Winter 2017.
