Charles started at HTA in 2017, his role as the Data Systems Coordinator will lead in the development, support and maintenance of all HTA’s information and quality control systems. The role will involve acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the various information systems and their uses and ensuring this expertise is integrated effectively across the business.

This happens as 4 key responsibilities:

  • Project auditing - Making sure that the information created by projects is archived and managed in accordance to HTA policies and the stages of project development as outlined by RIBA.
  • System development - Involving assisting the IT department in the deployment of new systems. This also involves managing the information databases (Deltek PIM & OpenAsset) and making them user friendly.
  • Project Support and Training - Providing training to employees on key aspects to ensure an improvement in the quality of information that HTA provides through their internal systems. This also involves being document controller for 2 projects.
  • Data Protection Lead - Relating to the management of data breaches and their prevention and reporting and involves the conducting of consultancy wide training and testing on the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Before joining HTA permanently, Charles has been employed at other architecture practices in London in a temporary capacity including Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects and MAKE Architects working in both general administration, archivist and document controller positions.

Charles also held a temporary position at HTA Design in early 2017 working as a Data Entry Administrator assisting the Marketing team prior to large events.

Currently, projects Charles is working on include:

  • Chelsea Creek Block F – Document Controller
  • Greenford Green = Document Controller
