Chris Vansittart

BA (Hons), BArch (Hons), DipArch

Associate, Senior Architect

Chris joined HTA design in September 2011 as an architectural assistant and has since progressed to his current position as an Associate and Senior Architect within Caroline Dove’s design team.

Chris started at HTA working on a number of planning stage projects and bids and has more recently been working on larger scale projects using his developed technical skills to lead multi-disciplined teams through the post planning stages.

Prior to joining HTA, Chris worked for a number of small architectural practices during his time spent studying at De Montfort University in Leicester. Most notably Miller Architects, based outside of Cambridge where private barn conversions were the specialty of the practice. More recently Chris worked for ReesPryer Architects in Bury St Edmunds working on small scale social housing schemes and educational facilities within the local area.

Chris has worked on a number of significant projects during his time at HTA, most notably Allen Court and Carterhatch Lane. His early involvement in these projects as an architectural assistant at the concept stage developed into the job runner role as the projects entered the later stages of construction. His involvement throughout all stages of the project helped retain a design continuity and ensured the design concepts were retained and apparent in the finished schemes.

Chris has taken his depth of experience and applied it most recently to the Ealing Garage Sites and New Avenue projects. His current role as the project architect for both projects involve overseeing a multi-disciplined team developing over 20 small residential sites in Ealing and a large phased residential development in Enfield both for affordable rent and private sale.
