Eleni Stathi

Eleni has been at HTA since 2005, she is a project leader for key projects within the practice. Her experience includes jobs at all RIBA Work Stages from inception to delivery. In her role she is responsible for the design and everyday management of projects as well as liaising with clients, consultants and authorities to coordinate the design process.

Eleni, has previously worked for JT and Partners in the residential sector and Annand and Mustoe in Cambridge in small scale residential, educational, and healthcare projects.

Eleni has got in depth experience in the UK Housing Housing Sector, having worked on a range of projects within London and the South East. Her experience ranges in projects of different scales from infill urban sites to large urban regeneration sites and suburban developments.

Eleni’s strength lies in collaboration, a valuable skill in complex projects with several stakeholders. She has the ability

to find consensus between the requirements of various stakeholders, clients, designers and regulatory bodies, from a strategic masterplanning level right down to detailed planning designs. Through her experience in regeneration she has gained considerable knowledge in community consultation and has developed a keen interest in the way community engagement shapes successful places.   

Eleni is also a regular speaker at Urban Design London Events.

Eleni completed her studies in Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art and the Bartlett, UCL.

Currently, Eleni is leading the designs for the first phase of a significant regeneration project in Enfield.

Notable projects as a project leader include:

Bellamy Close and Byng Street, Tower Hamlets, London

A regeneration project in the Isle of Dogs for One Housing. The project includes a 25 storey residential building and a number of houses designed for the existing residents.

Newhall, Harlow

Designs for the last of the residential phases in the Newhall masterplan for Countryside Properties.

Greenford quay Masterplan, Ealing

The UK’s first large-scale purpose designed Build-to-Rent development offering a different way to live. It uses scale, with 2,000 homes consented overall, to provide higher quality housing with additional facilities not normally associated with rental housing in London.

Sheerwater Regeneration, Woking

A masterplan for the Sheerwater area in Woking including 1200 homes, a Leisure Centre and several other non-residential uses.

Bearbrook House, Aylesbury

An award-winning development of 75 new homes in Aylesbury for Wates.

New Homes for Luton

An affordable housebuilding programme in Luton to address the acute housing need in the city.

Other significant projects

Gibraltar

An ambitious housing project in Gibraltar providing 536 new homes.

Allerton Bywater, Leeds,

A mixed tenure development of 151 family houses and apartments, within the Allerton Bywater Millenium Community near Leeds. The site was won by HTA working with Barratt Leeds, as part of the Design for Manufacture competition promoted by the ODPM and English Partnerships.
