James Collister

Planner

BA (Hons) Geography, MSc Urban and Regional Planning (Distinction)

James joined HTA at the beginning of August 2017, after completing his postgraduate studies at Heriot Watt University whereby he graduated with a Distinction in Urban and Regional Planning.

Before joining HTA, James worked for a Planning Consultancy in Norwich and was responsible for a wide range of projects throughout the East of England ranging from Country Manors, through to large social housing projects. These largely involved an expert use of planning policy to attain planning permission, especially with research into five-year housing land supplies for several districts throughout the area.

James is currently assisting on two large housing regeneration schemes, one for Andover Estate in Islington and the other for Sheerwater in Woking.

He is also leading the planning process for a number of sites as part of the Enfield Small Housing Sites Programme, and a site at Needingworth in Huntingdonshire for low-rise modular housing which is one of the first of its kind in the country.

James completes feasibility studies for sites throughout the country in order to provide advice as to how they should be approached.
