Senior Architect

James is a Senior Architect who has been working for HTA Design LLP since late 2011. In his time at HTA, he has successfully integrated himself into the team and lead large scale projects at early RIBA work stages through to completion.

Over the past year he has worked on the Dollis Valley Project as project architect, helping deliver a 135 dwelling scheme within High Barnet. During the year, he has helped deliver Stage 3+ as project architect, a working drawings package for a modular unit scheme in Canary Wharf comprising of serviced apartments, gym, retail and restaurant.

He previously worked for a practice of historical architects and also worked for a small practice in Worcester called Boughton Butler Architects as a post Part I Architectural Assistant working on a varied range of projects, from schools to housing.

In addition to the previously mentioned projects, James has also worked on an array of projects from conception to completion. This includes projects such as Dee Park from planning to working drawings as lead architect for the delivery of 145 new homes and Cheshunt within Broxbourne for 88 mixed tenure residential scheme.

During his time as a Part Two Architectural student, he was selected as a post graduate student tutor, helping Part I, year two students develop their drawing & design skills. This was an invaluable opportunity which was granted by his tutors at De Montfort University; of which he feels very passionate about.

Currently, James is working on the Stage 4+ working drawings for Canary Wharf B2 project through a Management Contracting procurement route.
