Architect & Senior BIM Technician

As an Architect, Senior Architectural & BIM Specialist at HTA, Salim’s focus is with the Architectural teams. Siam liaises with HTA Landscaping and Sustainability teams, enabling project deployment and deliverables. Corroborating the delivery and design of projects and ensuring the end user experience of place is well received.

Before joining HTA in 2016, Salim gained experience at several practices including EPR Architects, Broadway Malyan and Pilbrow & Partners as a BIM Coordinator. During his period, he was responsible for authoring BIM protocols and guidance referencing the UK BIM Framework. He implemented training for staff and devised efficiency workflows between several Architecture, Engineering & Construction software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Vector works Design Suite, ArchiCAD and SketchUp.

Salim's key skills are:

  • Operating as part of the delivery team - ensuring coordination of consultants and managing resources within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem solving - devising and streamlining deliverables workflow and execution.
  • Strong presentation skills – Salim is keenly interested in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics and Editorial Layouts.

Software and Hardware specialist - Salim has a well-rounded understanding of Architecture, Engineering & Construction software and the hardware parameters to realise project and practice requirements.

Salim is currently engaged with:

Byng Street, is located at Bellamy Close and Byng Street, London, E14. The development will have a total of 202 homes with 24 of those homes designed for the existing residents. 49% affordable homes by habitable room (excluding the re-provided units) are being provided on site.

The development contains a 31 storey tall building, a maisonette block, a new pedestrian only link between Byng Street and Manilla Street, a communal courtyard with play space for the resident of the tall building and an informal play within the public realm.


Kidbrooke Park Road is in the Royal Borough of Greenwich will provide a scheme with 417m2 of nursery space, 50mof community space and 117 new homes accommodated in 4 buildings ranging from 4 to 10 storeys in height. The entire development is 100 percent affordable.

The overall mix comprises of 1,2 and 3 bedroom flats and 3 bedroom masionettes. Off the 117 new homes, 32 percent will be family sized units and 10 percent will be wheelchair accessible.


For both projects, Salim’s responsibilities encompass enabling and executing deliverables for RIBA Stages varying from 3-7. Liaising and coordinating with principle and sub-contractors as well as the creation and maintenance of 2D & 3D assets for project deployment aligning with practice standards as well as contributing towards BIM development across multiple teams utilising the UK BIM Framework.
