Architect

William joined HTA in 2013 as an Architectural Assistant and graduated as an Architect in 2016.  He has contributed to projects at a variety of scales and workstages with a focus on suburban housing.  He was Project Lead for the Filwood Park, a development of 150 homes in south Bristol. The housing is arranged around a renovated public park and is a key part of the Knowle West Regeneration Framework.

Prior to working with HTA William was involved in the research and writing of several classroom design guidance documents for the Department of Education, and supported the delivery of innovative solar heating technology projects for ICAX Ltd.

As well as Filwood William has worked on the sustainable renovation of a London house to a high level of specification, the Millbay development providing a variety of houses, flats and maisonettes on a city centre site in Plymouth, and Cane Hill.  This project for over 600 houses and flats south of Coulsdon in Croydon is currently being delivered by Barratt Housing and won a Housing Design Award in 2017.

William is currently working on the delivery of a library and community space on the ground floor of a new housing block, part of the Aylesbury Estate regeneration in Southwark.  Working with the librarians and local council we are developing a high quality and robust design to create a modern library with a variety of facilities.  As well as a large library space for books and quiet study, rooms will be available for local groups, from yoga classes to children’s stay and play, providing flexible and striking spaces fronting onto a new public square.
