This Private Finance Initiative-funded project is for the refurbishment of Camden Council-owned flats in 5 tower blocks on the north side of Regents Park. The Chalcots are a local landmark set in a prime location between Swiss Cottage and Primrose Hill.
HTA have worked with Rydon Construction to develop a refurbishment programme for the towers which transforms the original blocks into sustainable place to live. Careful attention to detailing cladding, windows and entrances form a high quality solution to the problem of over cladding tower blocks so they make a distinctive and lasting contribution to the local environment.
Residents played an important part in developing the designs especially the windows which gave spectacular views over London.
