
The CABE Seachange Funded Next Wave scheme aims to make the seafront and Public Realm surrounding the De La Warr pavilion a more attractive place for residents and visitors to Bexhill and a catalyst for economic regenarations of this seaside resort.
HTA have provided the following disciplines Masterplaning, Landsacpe Architecture, Wayfinding, Architecture and Employer’s Agent. The scheme is part of the Rother District Council’s regeneration aims for the town and district and. ThThe masterplan incorporates design proposals for improving accessibility, creating a new public park and updating 800 linear metres of promenade. At the heart of the scheme is a new restaurant and retail development created from the structure of the early C20 grade II listed Colonnade.
As lead consultant HTA have led the core team comprising HTA Landscape design, Stanton Williams and HTA as architects, Ian Sayer and Co providing cost management and Alan Baxter Associates as engineers. In this team we have combined the expertise required to deliver a project of this significance, sensitivity and complexity.
