The team was chosen from a shortlist of four developers by landowners and project partners Medway Council and the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA). 160 high quality homes are planned on the 7-hectare site as well as parks, shops, offices and cafes to provide a sustainable mixed-use community with strong links to the historic centre of Rochester. The buildings will be of the highest sustainability standards at Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
New urban squares have been designed throughout the development, as well as a waterfront park and river walk. This high quality public amenity will provide spaces for both the existing and new community usage, creating a valuable resource within the Medway regeneration.
