We understand that Sustainable Development means that the lifestyle of residents and visitors in our completed projects must be more sustainable than in other places; development that is about supporting ‘business as usual’ is not sustainable development.
We believe that more sustainable development achieves change through a process of attracting people into a future where their lifestyle makes better use of scarce resources, where their energy bills are lower and where they live close to Nature.
Sustainable Places encourage a sense of community and ownership; we work to design a built environment that encourages people’s interactions with each other, and social structures that enable it.
