This Private Finance Initiative-funded project is for the refurbishment of 708 Camden Council-owned flats in 5 tower blocks on the north side of Regents Park. The Chalcots are a local landmark set in a prime location between Swiss Cottage and Primrose Hill.
HTA have worked with Rydon Construction to develop a refurbishment programme for the towers which transforms the original blocks into sustainable place to live. The design and programme for delivery were developed to ensure that no residents were required to move out of their homes during the refurbishment works.
External aluminium rainscreen overcladding and new aluminium windows together with internal refurbishment and environmental improvements were undertaken to bring five tower blocks up to Decent Homes standards.
