The UK’s first Carbon Challenge project is currently on site. The development will become a benchmark for sustainable housing by using the following features: passive design and solar shading, cutting edge building technology in the form of Cellecta Tetris insulating ground floors, SIPS panels by Kingspan TEK, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, zero carbon community heating and power using CHP. The homes are clad in vertical timber boarding, rendered panels and have Corus Urban metal roofs.
