
HTA are lead design consultants for the competition winning proposals for the regeneration of South Acton Estate in Ealing. The fundamental aim of the masterplan is to create a series of linked public open spaces around which communities and character areas will be established, in many cases building on the existing green infrastructure and local character. It identifies a hierarchy of streets, squares, shared surfaces, mews and green spaces which will provide a range of activities catering to all segments of the community and urban design team are working closely with the building architects to ensure that the design proposals are seamless and coherent, providing opportunities for innovation and delight, and demonstrating an integrated and holistic approach to design at varying scales – from the communication of strategic objectives to the delivery of detailed design proposals.
