21/50. HTA at 50 – Phoenix City, China 2003 – 2007

This week #HTAat50 revisits it’s 10,000 home scheme in Shanghai. HTA changed the design of this new city from serried ranks of 40 storey towers to a walkable city of streets and squares, with a mix of high-density low-rise perimeter blocks and occasional towers.
