HTA, Velocity and friends from across the built environment industry hit the road recently for the Essex Epic, a two-wheeled tour around the lanes of our nearest county.
Setting off from HTA’s Hackney Wick studio on a full stomach thanks to the kitchen team, riders split between a 60km and 110km route – not bad for a Friday morning.
Crossing the River Lee and Olympic Park, our cyclists headed out to Chingford, up to Epping, around to Ongar, and circled all the way back to Hackney Wick.
Arriving back at HTA, the riders were welcomed with a fresh, protein packed lunch and offered a warming shower in the studio before heading to our local for an obligatory post-ride pint.
Thanks to David Taylor and Toby Fox at Velocity for route planning, and to the HTA’s Simon Bayliss, James Lord, Rhea Shepherd, Richard Foxley, Alexandra Riley, and Rob Hamil for leading the way.
Stay tuned for more bike rides with HTA…
