Good Homes for All: 20 examples of how to do housing

24 Apr 2025

HTA’s is proud to be a part of the Architects for Affordable Housing (AA4AH) campaign and to celebrate the launch of Good Homes for All: 20 examples of how to do housing.

Available in print and online from today, Architects’ Journal, in partnership with AA4AH, has compiled a collection of 20 of the nation’s best housing schemes in a useful guide. Each project is practical, replicable and grounded in the real-world constraints of land, cost and carbon emissions. Collectively, they offer a roadmap, and a mandate, for how we can build better at scale.

The publication features an introduction from Lord Best and endorsements from the likes of Kevin McCloud, Pooja Agrawal and Professor Anne Power.

Good Homes for All brings together architects and built environment professionals who believe that everyone deserves a well-designed, affordable home. As active contributors to AA4AH, we’re thrilled to see this collective vision brought to life through the publication.

We’re especially proud to have contributed Hanham Hall, our pioneering low carbon community near Bristol, as a case study in sustainable housing. As one of the first large-scale zero carbon developments in the UK, Hanham Hall stands as a testament to what’s possible when affordability meets environmental responsibility.

Huge thanks to Architects’ Journal for making the publication possible and to AA4AH and all the practices involved in this important step toward better homes for all.
