The judges were particularly impressed by the team’s proactive approach in conducting intensive research, analysing successful co-living schemes worldwide, and working closely with the GLA to shape emerging guidance on co-living. The range of high-quality communal spaces and uses in the co-living block is particularly impressive.
Excellence in Plan Making practice for Dunton Hills Garden Village Supplementary Planning Document.
The judges commended HTA’s commitment to sustainability and innovative community engagement, going on to say that “The Garden Village concept has been transformed into a locally-led planning document, demonstrating the team’s dedication to consultation, engagement, and co-design approach. Their efforts have ensured that Dunton Hills will be well-planned from the outset, reflecting considerable work engaging residents, landowners, stakeholders, and technical experts”. The plan presents 4,000 new homes with integrated heritage and landscape principles to ensure the delivery of a highly sustainable and beautiful village which is sympathetic to its historic context.
