We’re incredibly proud to see our colleague Lucy Smith recognised by Architects’ Journal as an LGBTQ+ Champion 2024.
Lucy has been instrumental in shaping HTA Design’s approach to inclusivity, co-founding our LGBTQ+ staff network and creating a safe space for open conversation, mutual support and pride. Her leadership extends beyond HTA, advocating for inclusive practice across the profession and mentoring emerging queer voices in architecture.
This recognition celebrates Lucy’s commitment to visibility, solidarity, and change in the built environment sector. It also reminds us that meaningful progress comes from within: from colleagues who challenge norms, build community, and lead with authenticity.
