Planning permission granted for Soap Works

Planning permission granted for Soap Works, an industrial-led residential scheme in Ealing for De Vere Partners.

Soap Works, an 18-storey residential tower in Greenock Road, will provide 124 flats, a café, and flexible industrial space to retain local businesses within the area. The building achieves this through three floors of light industrial and commercial uses, with a residential accommodation above. The podium and roof terraces provide communal amenity space for the residents, along with urban greening & biodiversity net gain.

HTA took inspiration from the area’s rich history. The building facade responds to the ‘brick fields’ and ‘motor works’ factories and the fabrics of the ‘soap suds’ launderettes that once served the theatres of the East End through a combination of mottled brickwork, Crittall-style glazing, and terracotta panelling.
