Recruitment: Bid Manager

6 Jun 2025

HTA Design is an award winning multi-disciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Communications, Sustainability, Urban Design, Interior Design, and Planning.

Winning new work is the lifeblood of our business, and a good proportion of our work is secured through responding to bids and tenders. We consider ourselves amongst the best in our field but in a fiercely competitive market we need to be able to set ourselves apart to win the work we need.

Your role as Bid Manager is crucial to our success in submitting exceptional bids and tenders which lead to us winning new work. You will use your proven track record of bid coordination and experience of public and private procurement to help us win projects of a scale and ambition that is appropriate for the future of our practice. As a multi-disciplinary practice, the focus of bids for each of our teams will be wide-ranging from social housing, regeneration, and mixed-use town centres, to interiors, parks, and historic landscapes.

Reporting directly to our Partner for New Business, you will work closely with a busy senior team including other Partners and Project Leaders leading each bid and a wider marketing team. You will be responsible for managing the entire bid-lifecycle, from initial enquiry to bid-outcome, on submissions ranging from simple responses to RFPs and RFQs through to comprehensive design competitions involving multiple bid partners. Time in-between bids will be mostly dedicated to the development and continuous improvement of our bidding processes and maintaining a library of our very best bid resources and material.

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and flexible individual with hands-on experience of coordinating inputs of busy project teams to deliver successful outcomes. This is an excellent position for an enthusiastic professional who is looking to grow their career in business development by contributing to the sustained growth of our practice.
