HTA Design is an award winning multi-disciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Interior Design, Sustainability, Planning and Communication Design.

HTA has an exciting opportunity for a talented Masterplanner within our Placecraft team where our clients range from high profile master developers to design-led housebuilders and innovative SMEs.

This is a key role within a creative team, helping generate the design story and documenting it with comprehensive and attractive material. You will have a keen interest and experience in projects ranging from garden towns through to high value medium-rise sites and implications on dwelling types, and experience in promoting sites through the planning process and preparing Outline/Hybrid Planning Applications and Design Codes.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum RIBA Part 1 qualified – however you may have further RIBA qualifications, or alternative Urban Design qualifications, or strong suitable practice experience.
  • Minimum 3 years postgraduate experience in low to medium rise masterplanning in a UK practice, including experience in promoting sites through the planning process and preparing Outline/Hybrid Planning Applications and Design Codes.
  • Strong knowledge of masterplanning best practice and UK planning policy.
  • Experience in site analysis, preparation of base plans and supporting material required for masterplanning work.
