Assemble & Join engagement with Chelsea Pensioners
We spent the morning with some of the Chelsea Pensioners, designing bird boxes and planters for their grounds as part of our Assemble & Join engagement activity on the Winstanley & York Road estates project.
The workshop starts a programme of collaborative activity with the Pensioners, including some intergenerational designing with local schools, developing their allotment gardens with growing projects and participating in the Chelsea Flower Show next year.
The ongoing A&J project is based at 20 Lavender Road, Battersea and facilitates woodworking projects with the local community as part of the ongoing community engagement workshop.
