Greenford Quay part of this year's Open House London

HTA’s project, Greenford Quay, is part of this year’s Open House Festival. Tillermans has a 14-storey tower sitting on the edge of the Grand Union Canal with views backed towards central London providing an immediate landmark for the surrounding area. Greenford Quay re-opens the long derelict Glaxosmithkline site within Greenford inviting the public back into the area that had been closed off for decades. New streets, a striking new bridge and a new canal side walk connect this place into the existing neighbourhood. It is also the UK’s first large scale Build-to-Rent development.

A self-guided cycle tour has been designed, starting at Greenford Quay and ends in Paddington and is available all year round for you to witness some of HTA’s architecture and landscape design. The tour teaches you more about the energy efficiency and sustainability agenda from manufacturing to construction and how the spaces inside and out are designed to foster a community in the growing mini village development that is Greenford Quay.
