Housing Design Awards: HTA secure 5 shortlists

Five of our schemes have been successfully shortlisted in this year’s Housing Design Awards:

  • Trinity Square - Submitted by HTA - Client: Barratt / David Wilson Homes

Trinity Square provides a model for suburban intensification, with a mix of 3 storey houses and 4-5 storey apartment blocks combining to form traditional terraced streets, quite urban in form, but with a high proportion of the 404 homes being family housing, centred around a new public square.

  • Mulberry Park - Submitted by HTA - Client: Curo Group

Mulberry Park brings town centre density to the suburban edge of historic Bath, helping to create a more sustainable family neighbourhood. Nestling within the semi-rural village setting of Combe Down, Phase 1 will deliver 275 homes from 700 consented in the 2015 Outline Planning permission, and establish a gateway to the development from Bradford Road, as well as connecting to the adjacent Foxhill estate.

  • Tower House & Ashbourne House - Submitted by HTA - Client: Slough Borough Council

This is the Council’s flagship project delivering 193 affordable maisonettes and flats, replacing 120 flats in two vacant 11 storey towers. The vision is for healthy, sustainable homes for all tenants in a safe living environment with play spaces on their doorstep set within attractive gardens.

  • Union Wharf - Submitted by Assael Architecture - Client: Essential Living

This build to rent project for Essential Living, will deliver 249 homes in two buildings, the tallest rising to 23 storeys with extensive shared amenity facilities. Designed by Assael Architecture to detailed planning approval stage, HTA joined the project to facilitate delivery using modular construction, manufactured by Elements Europe in their Telford factory.

  • Winstanley and York Road Regeneration, Masterplan - Submitted by Wandsworth Council and Taylor Wimpey UK - Client: Wandsworth Council and Taylor Wimpey UK

HTA’s masterplan will deliver new housing and a new urban park forming the catalyst to transform an existing housing estate into a new residential community located a short distance from Clapham Junction Station. The Winstanley & York Road masterplan provides new mansion blocks overlooking the new park, tree lined streets, high rise residential buildings with views to the Thames and a range of commercial, leisure and community spaces.
