HTA receive planning approval for Kidbrooke Park Road

HTA are delighted to announce that Kidbrooke Park Road was unanimously supported at committee on the 17th November.

Located to the north of Kidbrooke Station, Kidbrooke village and the recently regenerated Cator Park, Kidbrooke Park Road proposes a new residential scheme providing a new nursery and 117 new affordable homes.

The proposed development allows for the creation of a green corridor making provision for a tree lined pedestrian and cycle route along Kidbrooke Park Road enabled through remedial work to eradicate ground contamination caused by the previous uses of the site.

The 117 affordable homes, comprising larger family maisonettes through to one bedroom apartments are designed to maximise dual aspect accommodation. The scheme is designed to achieve net zero carbon incorporating air source heat pumps and solar panels across the roofs of the buildings. Mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR) systems will provide ventilation efficiently and will help reduce the risk of overheating.

The scheme has been designed to be delivered using modular construction whilst the external appearance reflects the brick based vernacular architecture of the wider area comprising interwar development around Kidbrooke through to the Georgian architecture of Blackheath.
