HTA win the award for fostering a diverse Planning team

HTA won the award for fostering a diverse planning team at the virtual Planning Awards. The team are thrilled to win this award, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture is at the heart of HTA Design’s ethos. This manifests in a demonstrably diverse team, showing we not only have the ability to attract, but also to retain a diverse team. Many people have applied to work at HTA because they are encouraged by the evidence of a diverse community which they can see on our website, and when they visit our offices. We demonstrate diversity not only across  the members of our practice but in all that we do and especially in our designs for diverse and inclusive places to live. HTA Design’s planning team embeds inclusive planning into their day-to-day approach. Our team work on a range of projects that by their very nature necessitate socially inclusive planning solutions, including estate regeneration projects affecting existing residents, particularly harder to reach groups, as well as being involved in older person’s housing schemes.

Sheerwater Canalside Regeneration was also highly commended in the planning for affordable housing category.

The redevelopment of Sheerwater through this new scheme is an exemplar example of how listening to feedback from existing residents of a place can help deliver a better residential development for an area.

Well done to Riette & the team!
