HTA@50 - Apex
Completing a mixed use urban block of three HTA designed projects, Apex House marked a highpoint in the regeneration of the wider Wembley area. Designed for precision modular manufacturer, the building was as a showcase in how factory made housing can enhance quality and reduce defects.
The scheme delivered 558 student rooms in some 680 modules and at 29 storeys was, at the time, the tallest modular building in Europe. The whole project from design concept to handover took just 30 months, including just under a year for on-site construction and assembly.
