HTA@50 - Biggleswade
HTA’s masterplan for West Sunderland Farm, to the east of Biggleswade, demonstrate the potential to deliver up to 6,000 new homes, within a sustainable urban extension. Selected by landowners UKR through an invited competition, HTA led the process of design development to allocate the site for housing through the local plan.
A subsequent outline planning application gained consent for 1500 homes with schools, shops and workspace, to form a contemporary settlement within a rich landscape setting. The proposals anticipate adopting offsite construction and digital technologies to speed up delivery and achieve the highest possible standards of design and construction
