Incl. presents Pride Month at HTA

To celebrate Pride Month, HTA and Incl. have curated a fantastic events programme, including presentations from colleagues across HTA and esteemed external guests. These look to expand everyone’s horizons and open people up to different perspectives surrounding identity, the built environment, and pride itself.

The events programme kicked off with Tuesday Evening Talk with a series of three short presentations which explored how LGBT+ identities are expressed in public spaces throughout the built environment, including statues, monuments, and memorials. Followed by Friday after-work drinks At Tina, We Salute You in East Village.

In the next few weeks, we have two exciting talks coming up. Pippa Catterall, Professor of History and Policy at the University of Westminster, will talk about Queer Communities and Public Space and how we move beyond the gayborhood towards creating public spaces for all? As well as Friday Masterclass, Pride Talk with Russell Pollard will focus on supporting equity and inclusion for LGTBQ2S+ employees in the workplace, specifically focusing on architecture, consulting engineering, and design firms.

We will end the celebration with the Pride Parade! We wish you all a happy, healthy, and safe Pride Month.
