Planning permission granted for zero carbon quarter at Edinburgh Park

Edinburgh park is an exciting residential led scheme which looks to create a new urban quarter & cultural destination in the West of Edinburgh. The consented proposals for the southern Phase masterplan represent the largest single scheme planning application seen in the city in over a decade and HTA have led the design on over half of the homes proposed on site.

The consented masterplan is a continuation and development of a 1990s Richard Meier scheme and proposals look to add residential, commercial and mixed-use accommodation alongside high quality urban design and external amenity. A strong focus on community and culture permeates the masterplan design, with a public arts and sculpture strategy central to the proposals.

Working as part of a talented design team, led by developers Parabola and masterplan architects Dixon Jones, HTA designed the Build to Rent (800 Homes) and affordable blocks (160 homes) on the site.
