Clare Hawes

Clare joined HTA in July 2015 a Part I Architectural Assistant, after completing her undergraduate studies with First Class Honours. During her year out, Clare worked on a variety of projects from competition stage to construction. Most notably, Clare worked on the planning application and construction drawings for Barnet College, the second phase of the Osprey Quay development and assisted in the development of a range of house typologies for the winning Barratt/AJ Home of the Future competition. Whilst at HTA Clare has also developed extensive skills and knowledge in BIM, which she has been able to apply to projects across all stages.

Clare completed her Part II at The Bartlett School of Architecture with distinction. She was awarded The Bartlett Medal for achieving an overall average of above 80% for her Masters and her design project was subsequently featured in The Guardian and The Architect’s Journal Student Edition.

Since returning to HTA in July 2017 as a Part II Architectural Assistant, Clare has been working on West Green Place for Pocket Living. The project is located in Haringey and comprises 126 units and a Community Centre / Nursery. Clare has been a key member of the West Green Place and has contributed to the project from planning stages through to construction.

Clare has been responsible for assisting with the design development of the new Pocket townhouses which are a new Pocket product and preparing drawing packages for tender and construction. Alongside working on West Green Place Clare is currently completing her Part III studies at London Metropolitan University.
