Janita Han Creswell
Senior Architect
BArch, MSc (Arch)
Janita joined HTA in 2019 as a Senior Architect, with experience across the residential, educational, and commercial sectors. Her first project at HTA was the Design for Manufacture (DfMA) Assessment of Barking Riverside, where she developed standardised block and flat layouts and produced a DfMA-Optimised Masterplan and Design Code.
Janita was a team member on the Meridian Water Phase 1a development at the planning stage, before stepping up to the role of project architect at stage 4, leading the team in delivering tender packages. She continued her involvement in Phase 1b of the project, delivering the planning amendment submission for the scheme.
Currently, Janita is the project architect for the Bellamy and Byng Street Project, a regeneration project on the Isle of Dogs. This 218-unit scheme includes a 32-storey tower, houses and maisonettes on a very restricted site.
Before joining HTA, Janita worked for various design-led practices in London, including FAT, DSDHA, and Architecture Initiative. Her most notable projects include Grayson Perry’s A House for Essex for Living Architecture, the Northampton International Academy (RIBA East Midlands Award 2019 winner), and the Alex Monroe jewellery studio on Tower Bridge Road (RIBA London Award 2018 winner).
