Nell is an Architectural Assistant Part II who has a passion for designing high quality architecture and housing that improves inhabitant’s health, wellbeing and quality of life. Nell has worked at HTA Design since 2016 as a part I Architectural Assistant in London and has recently returned following the completion of her Masters, to the Bristol Office. Nell is an active member of HTA Design, getting involved with all things social including Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100, Sketch Club and TeamBuild where she and three of her colleagues came second winning the procurement award.
Prior to working at HTA as a part I Nell spend over two years working as a freelance assistant for several fledgling architectural practices in London.
Nell has recently completed her Master of Architecture at the University of Plymouth. Her final project, A Prototype for Better Living in Macau, China, was a mixed use retrofit that used salutogenic and biophilic principles to maintain and improve inhabitants physical and mental health, champion physical and psychological comfort and not exclude less-abled and neurodiverse people. For this project, jointly with her partner, Nell has been nominated for an RIBA Silver Medal and an AJ Student Sustainability Prize.
Working on projects throughout the south of England Nell has been involved with Barnet Small Sites and Chealsea Court & Neverne Square in London, Northbrooks in Harlow, Tower and Ashbourne House in Slough, and currently Frome Gateway in Bristol. Nells role has been to support the Project Architect in producing drawings, documents and consultation materials for planning.
