Steven joined HTA in late 2016, he is a Senior Architect initially working on the Greenford Green project in London.
Steven has worked in a variety of practices prior to HTA from starting at a small hands-on job running local practice through to a major London based design practice. It has given him a breadth of knowledge and experience from small-scale private residential work, through to medium and large scale social and private housing projects in Glasgow, Stirling and within the Central Belt in Scotland. Steven has worked on masterplanning, large Urban Regeneration Areas and job run numerous completed projects for Housing Associations, private developers and large-scale volume house builders. Steven’s most recent residential experience was the conversion of a Grade 2 listed former college building in Edinburgh into flats in 2016 which is still under construcion.
Outwith his residential experience, he has been project architect on a £36 million all through School near Manchester as part of the BSF/PFS programme build. Completed in 2012, this catered for children from nursery through to sixth form and included a large SEN (Special Educational Needs) wing involving specialist rooms, a swimming pool and developing a detailed specialist knowledge and brief to meet the Academy’s needs.
At his most recent employment, he worked on a £15mill new rugby stadium in central Edinburgh, which provided mixed-use sports facilities included a museum of rugby, function rooms, retail as well as the club facilities and the spectator terracing.
He also had the experience of working on a new office/laboratory building at Edinburgh BioQuarter at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh complex. This included 8000m2 of incubator office / lab space, which he progressed to Stage 2+.
Steven worked as a project architect on the following significant projects:
Steven is currently working on the Greenford Green project, in Ealing, London for Greystar Europe, initially working on the delivery of the first residential Block of 379 PRS units of the site and area regeneration. As well as working within the internal project team, he engages with a wide team of external consultants to ensure the coordinated delivery of each Stage of Work.
