HTA together with Barnet Homes to transform smaller infill garage sites and redundant spaces on estates to create affordable houses and apartments. A series of local community engagement events has shaped the designs and the first developments will soon be on site. As of December 2017, 11 sites with 101 new homes have been granted planning consent with a further 33 homes pending decision.
The site of the former Barnet Register Office on Burnt Oak Broadway has been developed into 30 affordable tenure flats designed by HTA. The new homes have been inspired by a reinvention of the mansion block typology introducing well proportioned and high quality residential homes in the heart of Burnt Oak. Planning consent for the project was granted in December 2017.
HTA have designed 34 affordable tenure homes for Barnet Homes and the design incorporates two 3-storey flat blocks and 10 houses in a linear arrangement utilising land behind existing flats off Edgware Road. Landscaped amenity spaces and parking are provided for both existing and new residents. Planning permission for the scheme was granted in October 2016.
