Greystar have appointed HTA Design to update and develop the existing concept design proposals for Block 4 at Greenford Quay to RIBA Stage 2.

The design team has worked together to revise the concept design proposals in line with the developed client brief whilst working to the parameters set out in the approved masterplan. The concept design addresses layout, structure, environmental and sustainability issues to ensure compliance with the relevant technical standards as well as Greystar’s wider estate requirements.

Using lessons learned and partnerships developed during the construction of Block 5, the principal change for the revised Stage 2 design is the change in proposed construction for the block, which switches from a concrete frame solution to a modular design delivery. Alongside this a reduced structural bay width has been implemented which increases the number of units achieved within the existing building footprint and massing, all of which has been included within the recent MMA update.

Greystar have now entered into a contract with Tide Construction to deliver the building using their Vision Modular system and HTA have been appointed to develop the working drawings for Tide, as well to act as CMT for Greystar throughout the delivery of the scheme.
