Competition-winning proposals to work with residents to redesign the layout of this South London estate and redevelop homes to deliver contemporary housing standards within a safe, attractive public realm.
The redesign of the housing mix has greatly benefited the residents, providing a greater number of spacious houses with large private gardens for families, while attractive communal gardens have been designed for those living in flats.
The strong sense of community at Kender has been retained and improved with the introduction of home zones, with traffic calming devices and shared spaces.
Phases 1-4 and the Landmark, providing nearly 300 homes, are now complete and occupied.
HTA recently achieved Detailed Planning consent for the latest phase of the Kender Triangle regeneration project in Lewisham. Phase 4 contains over 200 new houses and apartments for sale and rent and completes what has been a major, long-term transformation of this area of New Cross, which commenced in 2001.
HTA has been involved in the project since the very beginning, delivering planning consent for each phase on behalf of Hyde Housing Association and then producing construction drawings for contractor Geoffrey Osborne.
