Land North of Grant Road will deliver a mixed use scheme on vacant land marking the first step of the wider Winstanley and York Road regeneration.
Block C is one of three buildings submitted as part of the detailed planning application and is the tallest of the three buildings that form the planning application that include a neighbouring new church and school building, designed by Henley Halebrown Architects.
Block C delivers 92 new homes, ranging from studios through to three bedroom apartments. The ground floor provides 211 square metres of commercial space facing onto the junction of Winstanley Road. All residents benefit from access to a roof terrace that provides views over the surrounding area and towards the river.
The brick facade comprises a series of bays with balconies located to the south facing or to the northerly elevations. The application was approved with unanimous support from the Planning Committee in March 2018.
