Redhill Court at 182 Burnt Oak Broadway (formerly a vacant register office site) is now completed and being occupied by tenants. There are a mixture of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments in the scheme, along with 4 wheelchair apartments at ground floor.
Fronting onto Burnt Oak Broadway, Redhill Court sits within an active high street, providing a total of 30 new affordable tenure homes for the residents of Barnet.
The design of the building has been inspired by a reinvention of the mansion block typology introducing well-proportioned and high quality residential homes in the heart of Burnt Oak. The new mansion block features alternating brickwork bays on the front elevation, a stone portal entrance from the street with double height lobby and setback mansard roof accommodation, clad in standing seam steel.
It is part of a wider programme of 12 infill sites for Barnet Homes designed by HTA, and the largest to date in this development tranche. It was constructed by Hill Partnerships and has also achieved a Secured by Design Silver accreditation.
New tenants have given positive feedback and Barnet Homes have commented that this project sets a new standard for their future development programme.
