Colin leads HTA’s design teams in the delivery of complex housing projects across the UK, with extensive experience in estate regeneration, build‑to‑rent, and suburban and rural extensions. With over 25 years in the sector, he has gained a deep understanding of the technical, regulatory and contextual challenges that shape successful housing delivery.
He brings strong cross‑sector knowledge and commercial awareness; working closely with local authorities, developers, operators and housebuilders to align design ambition with value and deliverability. Colin offers strategic insight into how design decisions affect viability, programme and long‑term operational performance.
As a commercial lead across HTA, Colin ensures projects meet client objectives while navigating wider sector constraints. His pragmatic leadership balances design quality with practical outcomes, housing strategy, delivery and policy.
At Greenford Quay in Ealing, Colin led a multidisciplinary team to secure planning permission for a 2,000-home build-to-rent neighbourhood in a single application. At Meridian Water, he played a key role in shaping proposals for the first phases of the 10,000-home scheme, delivering approximately 300 homes in Phase 1A and obtaining detailed consent for Phase 1B, which includes 700 homes alongside commercial and community spaces.
Previously, Colin oversaw the development of 2500 homes at Acton Gardens and at Elephant Park for Lendlease he leveraged Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) to achieve significant efficiencies during construction.
Colin’s work on the award‑winning restoration of 75 Wallis Road transformed a Victorian plastics factory into a sustainable 21st‑century workplace and a new permanent home for our London team.
