HTA Communications & Engagement is the community engagement, consultation and communications team at HTA Design, a UK architecture practice specialising in housing and regeneration for more than 50 years. We create meaningful connections between people and place throughout the design process.
• Engagement strategy: early-stage frameworks that shape the project narrative and guide engagement and communication planning.
• Engagement programming: planning and delivering engagement activities across every stage of a project, from early feasibility to construction.
• Workshops and events: co-design sessions, public exhibitions, stakeholder briefings and creative consultations at planning and design stages.
• Participatory panels: setting up and facilitating resident steering groups, youth advisory panels, co-design groups and community review boards.
• Resident ballots: planning and running resident ballot campaigns on key decisions for estate regeneration, in line with Greater London Authority (GLA) requirements.
• Research and documentation: site walkabouts, demographic and heritage mapping, and Statements of Community Involvement (SCIs) for planning applications.
• Meanwhile and temporary projects: creative meanwhile uses that support communities during large-scale estate transformation.
• Communications strategy and delivery: integrated plans that keep residents, stakeholders and partners informed and involved.
• Community communications: targeted messaging for regeneration projects, resident engagement and outreach.
• Promotional and digital engagement: flyers, newsletters, digital campaigns and online workshops that reach a wider audience.
• Digital and print design: web content, campaign materials, and sales and marketing materials.
What is a Statement of Community Involvement? A Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is a planning document that explains how a community was consulted on a proposal and how its feedback shaped the design. HTA Communications & Engagement prepares SCIs as part of planning applications.
